SOUTH SHORE ARTS SOLO EXHIBITION TO OPEN JUNE 22

My solo exhibition “Baby Boom or Bust” will open at the South Shore Arts Gallery (1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana 46321) on June 22, 2014. This exhibition contains 20 large works of oil on canvas paintings spanning a 10 year time frame.  (see links to exhibitions to see gallery display). I make use of iconic images, Americana, old advertising copy and logos and juxtapose them into multiple layers of graphics and text. I explore the age of innocence during the atomic childhood. The era of large tailfins and idealistic principles. A time of abundance, and optimistic attitudes. The opening reception is June 22 from 12 to 4pm. For more information, contact John Cain, Director at 219-836-1839.
