Luke Boyce grew up the child of a graphic artist father, and idolized his sense of imagination and wonder. Then, in 1988, after reading a children's biography of Steven Spielberg, he firmly decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life making movies. However, his path wasn't the most conventional, having worked on a Roger Corman film (starring Mark Hamill) in his teens, attending Parkland College for graphic design out of high school, and then spending several years writing and playing pop songs in a band full-time. In 2006, Luke finally focused his passions into a career by starting an award-winning new media development and film production company called Shatterglass Studios. Since then, he's gone on to direct and produce numerous award-winning short and feature-length films, commercials and promotional pieces. In October 2012, Shatterglass was awarded the Small Business of the Year award from the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce.

In his spare time, Luke is a hopelessly addicted cinephile, developing organized movie-watching projects to fill every night of his week with multiple viewings. His current project involves watching 100 films from each decade in the history of film in chronological order, which sees him currently working through 1944.
