MEET THE PROS is a lecture series featuring creatives from the Champaign-Urbana community

 

Matt Hutton is the CEO, founder, and driving force behind Spinlight Studio. A graduate of the Eastern Illinois University graphic design program, he opened Spinlight in 2000 and built it into one of the region's most successful advertising agencies.

In 2011, he took the next bold step—spearheading the company's transition to app development. In less than three years, Spinlight Studio has become one of the premier brands in educational app development, with nearly a dozen Top-100 titles.

To date, Spinlight apps occupy nearly 20 of Apple's handpicked recommendation lists, including the number one educational game for both math and geography—placing Spinlight titles ahead of apps from Discovery, National Geographic, and the History Channel. Spinlight apps have been featured on the Today Show and Fox News, and in major publications from The New York Times to Us Weekly.
